DTU Chemistry is proud to share that Professor Kasper Steen Pedersen has been awarded the 2025 Bjerrum Medal. The medal was presented at the Annual Meeting of the Danish Chemical Society, held in Copenhagen on 19 June 2025.

The award recognizes his outstanding scientific contributions within inorganic and coordination chemistry, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), and chemical synthesis.

Established in 1959 in memory of Danish chemist Niels Bjerrum (1879–1958), the Bjerrum Medal is one of the most prestigious honors in Danish chemistry. The medal is made of solid gold and has historically been awarded to some of the most influential scientists in the field.

Kasper Steen Pedersen is the first recipient from DTU Chemistry since 1979 to receive this distinguished recognition.

We extend our warmest congratulations to Kasper Steen Pedersen on this well-deserved honour!
