DTU Chemistry is proud to announce the appointment of two distinguished scholars, Charlotte Held Gotfredsen and Sebastian Meier, as new professors. Both have made significant contributions to their respective fields and they will now continue their work in their new roles as professors.

Charlotte Held Gotfredsen leads pioneering interdisciplinary research using NMR spectroscopy to gain molecular insight at the chemistry–biology interface. Her work advances the structural and dynamic understanding of complex systems and novel structures, biosynthetic pathways, and NMR-based screening strategies across diverse targets.

Sebastian Meier develops and applies advanced spectroscopic methods to gain novel insights into molecular structures, reaction pathways, and dynamics, with a strong emphasis on biochemistry and sustainable chemistry. His work targets catalytic processes using innovative NMR techniques and interdisciplinary collaborations relevant to the green transition.

To celebrate their appointments, both professors will deliver inaugural lectures where they will present their research and future plans. The invitation to these lectures can be found here: Inagural lecture - Sebastian and Lotte

DTU Chemistry is excited to welcome Charlotte and Sebastian in their new roles and looks forward to their future contributions to the department.
