Three scientists at DTU Chemistry have been granted financial support to buy state-of-the-art equipment – accelerating important research areas.

Updating and improving research infrastructure is essential to maintaining a high-quality research environment. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that the Carlsberg Foundation has selected to fund new research equipment for three projects at DTU Chemistry.

Associate Professor Susanne Mossin has received 250,000 DKK for a mass spectrometer for operando spectroscopy – enabling simultaneous evaluation of both structure and activity of e.g. a catalyst in action.

The second recipient, Assistant Professor Luca Laraia, is granted 190,000 DKK for a state-of-the-art imaging system for chemical biology.

Finally, the Carlsberg Foundation awarded Professor Mads H. Clausen 734,900 DKK to support the new DTU SCore infrastructure, which is currently under construction. DTU SCore is a platform for automated high-throughput screening of small molecules for biological activity, which can serve as a starting point for chemical biology research and early drug discovery.
