Associate Professor Kira Astakhova from DTU Chemistry was one of the recipients when Reinholdt W. Jorck and Wife Foundation awarded three young researchers with research prizes on 13 December.
Reinholt W. Jorck and Hustrus Foundation honor young researchers for outstanding society-relevant research. This year, Kira Astakhova from DTU Chemistry was one of the chosen to receive DKK 300,000. In addition to this, Kira Astakhova also receives Jorck's travel grant of DKK 200,000 – a total of DKK 500,000 to her research and education.
The award is given as a recognition and an inspiration for the continuation of her research and teaching.
During 2018, Reinholdt W. Jorck and Hustrus Foundation has awarded DKK 11 million in honorary prizes, study grants, and financial support to various projects. The prizes were handed over by the Supreme Court President Thomas Rørdam, who is also Chairman of the Board.
