The appointment recognizes his strong academic contributions within physical chemistry, thermodynamics, and equilibrium computation methods, fields in which he enjoys international recognition.
Wei Yan is a highly dedicated and inspiring lecturer and is widely appreciated by students for his ability to connect fundamental theory with engineering applications.
Professor Wei Yan has been appointed alongside three colleagues: Professor Luca Laraia, Professor Katrine Qvortrup, and Professor Susanne Mossin.
To mark the appointment, Professor Wei Yan will give his inaugural lecture on “Bridging Thermodynamics and Engineering through Equilibrium Computation.”
