State-of-the-art laboratories for synthesis and analysis
DTU Chemistry’s laboratories are located in buildings 206, 207, and 211. The laboratories’ high technological instrumentation and infrastructure place them at the same level as the world’s best equipped university laboratories. This makes it possible to conduct ultra specialized and advanced research at DTU Chemistry.
The laboratories in buildings 206 and 207 were fully refurbished in 2024. Both teaching and research laboratories were refurbished and entirely equipped with additional fume hoods, piped gasses, and more, warranting state-of-the-art infrastructure for high-level chemical synthesis and analysis.
The laboratories of building 211 were built in 2015. The fume hoods get the optimal air flow due to ceiling height of +6 m, while a particularly future-proof plant for piped gases supplies the laboratories with the gases required for the research and teaching activities at DTU Chemistry.
The laboratories’ analytical and synthetic infrastructure is state-of-the-art. The instrumentation includes:
- Crystallography
- NMR
- Electron diffractometry
- HR-MS
- MALDI
- CD Spectroscopy
- ITC
- GC-MS
- LC-MS
- LC-MSMS
- Preparative HPLC
- ECHO-liquid handler
- Thermal cycler
- Plate reader
- Microwave reactor
- HTS platform
- Optical rotation
- PureSolv
- UV-VIS
- Liquid handler
- 3D printers
- Freeze dryer
Other instrumentation is available as well.
