DTU SCore: Automated HTS to accelerate biochemical and cellular research
Services
The state-of-the-art facility is designed to perform biochemical, biophysical, and cell-based screenings in 96-, 384- and 1,536-well format. It offers great flexibility in terms of possible read-outs, such as fluorescence, absorbance, luminescence and imaging function among others, thanks to the Tecan Spark Cyto 600 multimode microplate reader with cell-imaging function.

The facility offers screenings at different levels. Services include assay development, miniaturization, HTS adaptation, and pilot or full library screening. In addition, we offer data analysis and hit validation as well as plate printing of our in-house compound collection or the user’s own compound library.
DTU Screening Core facility works in close collaboration with DK-OPENSCREEN, the national research infrastructure for chemical biology, which offers their compound collection, consisting of 50,000+ compounds, in an open-access form. Production of assay ready plates with the in-house compound collection is part of the activities of the platform and is handled by the acoustic liquid dispenser ECHO 550.
The platform is used by both academic groups and industry.
Instrumentation
- Spark CYTO 600, TECAN – Multimode microplate reader
- ECHO 550, LabCyte – Acoustic liquid handling
- MultiFlo FX, BioTek - Multi-Mode Dispenser
- EL406, BioTek - Washer Dispenser
