A poster by postdoc Søren Kramer won the “Chemistry – A European Journal Poster Prize”.

It happened when 1700 chemists from 55 countries gathered in Florence, Italy August 27th to 31st, at the 13th “European Congress on Catalysis”.

Here the chemists discussed their research towards a sustainable future under the theme “Catalysis – A Bridge to the Future”.

Among the 900 posters at the conference, a poster from the Søren Kegnæs Group, presented by postdoc Søren Kramer, was selected for the “Chemistry – A European Journal Poster Prize”.

The poster showcases some of the latest results from the research group focusing on heterogeneous catalysis with Earth-abundant metals for applications in organic chemistry.

The prize is a recognition of the potential in these interdisciplinary efforts towards minimizing the environmental and economic impact of chemical production.

Read about the Søren Kegnæs Group, and read about the research in the scientific article “Nitrogen-Doped Carbon-Encapsulated Nickel/Cobalt Nanoparticle Catalysts for Olefin Migration in Allylarenes” in “ChemCatChem”
