Total has officially taken over Maersk Oil, and Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre welcomes Total in the partnership and look forward to the collaboration.
Eight months after the agreement on selling Maersk Oil to Total was signed, the acquisition is completed and Maersk Oil is now officially Total. Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre (DHRTC) is governed by a contract with Danish Underground Consortium (DUC) and the Danish State, and therefore the acquisition will not change the overall purpose of DHRTC.
“Our close collaboration with DUC continues under the new operatorship of Total, and long term we hope that the great collaboration we currently have, can be further developed and that new opportunities will emerge,” says Bo Cerup-Simonsen, Centre Director at DHRTC
DHRTC runs six research programmes with the partnership network, aiming to demonstrate how it is possible to increase the recovery of oil and gas in the Danish region of the North Sea. Collaboration with various industry players is an essential part of bringing research successfully to application.
“Collaboration with exchange of data, ideas and concepts will remain a critically important element, and we look forward to continue to collaborate closely with DUC and Total,” concludes Bo Cerup-Simonsen.
