A researcher position is available in catalysis and selective gas absorption utilizing ionic liquids and supported ionic liquid (SILP) materias in addition to heterogeneous transition metal catalysts for low temperature deNOx applications at the Department of Chemistry, DTU from March 1, 2017.
Responsibilities and tasks
You will be working on the externally funded project Low temperature deNOx technologies and ionic liquid gas absorption.
The successful candidate should have
- A strong theoretical and experimental background (PhD degree or equivalent and/ or post doc experience) in ionic liquid gas absorption and heterogeneous deNOx catalysis.
- Excellent collaboration and communications skills
In the assessment of the candidates consideration will be given to
- scientific production and research potential at international level
- innovative skills and the ability to generate new ideas
- the ability to communicate at all levels such as the provision of scientific advice to public sector authorities
- an all-round experience basis, preferably including international experience
- the ability to contribute to development of internal and external cooperation

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
The post of researcher is a permanent post as part of which the employee after a maximum of 4 years transfers to a position as senior researcher provided that the employee is recommended for assessment and is deemed qualified. More information can be found here: Career paths at DTU.
