A 3-year PhD position at DTU Chemistry is available from 15th January 2018. 
 
The PhD candidate will engage in a state-of-the-art project under the title “Perovskite-graphene 2D heterostructures for solar light harvesting and photo-induced charge transfer”, a DFF-FNU project awarded to Dr. Qijin Chi by Independent Research Fund Denmark (IRFD). The qualified PhD candidate will be under the supervision of associate professor Qijin Chi, along with one or two co-supervisors, for her/his PhD study for a period of three years.
 
Qualifications
Candidates who are interested in the position must have obtained a master degree in chemistry, materials science, physics or other related fields, and have acquired necessary research background and experience.
 
The research background in photo-electrochemistry, materials chemistry of graphene and perovskites, solar cells and charge transfer science is highly desirable. In addition, the candidate must be highly motivated, has records independently doing the research, and has good communication skills in English.
 
Applicants should have a thorough interest in the areas associated with nanochemistry, materials chemistry, electrochemistry and energy technology. Meanwhile, the position will offer the candidate an opportunity to work in a highly international, productive and dynamic research group.
 
In the assessment of the candidates, consideration will be given solely to the following criteria:

  • Master and bachelor grades
  • Relevance of research background and experience.
  • Record with high quality of previous research and scientific talents
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and good communication skills.
Approval and Enrolment

Salary and terms of employment
The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD degree students. The period of employment is 3 years.
